Taimour Zaman and AltFunds Global: My Response to Investigations.org and CyberCriminal.com

I’m Taimour Zaman, founder of AltFunds Global. This is my official response to material published about me and my firm on Investigations.org and CyberCriminal.com.
I dispute how those pages portray me and my business. I believe I have been targeted by reputational extortion, and I want to explain the evidence behind that concern. My account draws on my own experience, an investigation I commissioned, independent reporting and public court records concerning other affected businesses.
If you are researching my name or considering working with AltFunds Global, you deserve clear answers and sources you can examine for yourself.
Why I am speaking publicly
In my business, trust comes before a transaction. I expect prospective clients, brokers and financing partners to research me. I encourage it.
But an alarming headline can end a conversation before it begins. A website can publish an accusation, assign a numerical risk score and present the result in the style of an investigative report. Readers may reasonably assume someone has verified the underlying claims.
That is why I am putting my response on the record.
I welcome questions about my work, my fees and the services AltFunds Global provides. I also believe readers should be able to examine who is publishing accusations, what evidence supports them and whether the sources are independent.
My experience with a demand for payment
Before a negative LinkedIn post about me appeared, its author contacted me seeking money and threatened to publish negative material if I did not pay.
I refused.
I retained the messages and their dates. They formed part of the evidence reviewed in the investigation I commissioned.
This experience is central to why I describe what happened to me as suspected reputational extortion. I recognize the difference between describing my experience and establishing a finding against someone. My account should be assessed against the underlying evidence, just as any accusation against me should be.
What the investigation I commissioned reported
I retained a specialist to investigate the websites and activity affecting AltFunds Global.
A progress report dated September 26, 2025, recorded findings of common website architecture and ownership among sites it associated with the Critical Intel Network. The investigator characterized the activity as an organized defamation and extortion operation.
The report also described impersonation concerns, including lookalike domains and email spoofing. It recorded work to strengthen email authentication, preserve evidence and report the activity to service providers. It stated that reports had been made to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center and the RCMP.
These were findings and actions recorded by an investigator I retained. Making a report to an agency does not mean that agency has confirmed the allegations.
For anyone checking an email or website using our name, AltFunds Global’s website is altfundsglobal.com. The lookalike domain altfundsglobal.info is not our website. See our fraud warning page.
What independent reporting says about the publishing network
My concerns extend beyond my own experience.
In July 2026, journalist Jack Poulson published an investigation in All-Source Intelligence examining connections between Investigations.org and an earlier network that included FinanceScam.com and IntelligenceLine.com.
His reporting described similarities in content and website structure, cross-references between sites and questions about purported media endorsements. He also reported that Investigations.org acknowledged its advertised Dutch legal entity was not real and that names on its masthead were pseudonyms.
Those findings matter when assessing the credibility and accountability of a publisher making serious accusations.
I encourage readers to examine Poulson’s investigation and its supporting sources, rather than relying solely on my summary. Read it here: All-Source Intelligence, July 16, 2026.
What the Goldstone court case establishes
A separate public record concerns a lawsuit brought by Goldstone Financial Group and Anthony Pellegrino against FinanceScam.com.
The case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois under case number 1:25-cv-07283.
On October 16, 2025, the court granted a civil default judgment. The order found liability on claims including defamation per se, false light, trade libel, trademark infringement, false advertising and cybersquatting. It awarded $800,000 in statutory damages and ordered the transfer of eight domains identified in the complaint.
I was not a plaintiff in that case. The judgment does not decide the truth of allegations about me or AltFunds Global.
I cite it because it is a public court record concerning FinanceScam.com. Its scope matters, and I want readers to understand it accurately.

How I ask readers to assess the claims about me
When I reviewed the Investigations.org profile, I saw serious fraud-related labels alongside qualifications that deserved equal attention.
The page described its material as allegations awaiting formal adjudication. It also stated that it had not documented a confirmed regulatory enforcement action against me at the time of its report.
A private website’s risk score is its assessment. It is not a court judgment or a regulator’s determination.
I also question the independence of sources that repeat allegations across related websites. Multiple pages repeating a statement do not, by themselves, provide multiple independent confirmations.
My request is straightforward: examine the original source, distinguish allegations from established findings and read my response alongside the accusations.
How to verify AltFunds Global
AltFunds Global is an independent advisory firm. I work with capital-intensive businesses and business buyers whose financing needs extend beyond what their existing arrangements can support.
We are not a bank, a lender or a fund, and we do not hold client money.
Before entering an engagement, I encourage you to establish:
- What service AltFunds Global will provide.
- What fees apply, when they become payable and who receives them.
- Which financing providers and other counterparties are involved.
- What conditions remain outstanding.
- How each party and document can be independently verified.
Where independent third-party due diligence is required, clients pay those providers directly. AltFunds Global does not receive those due-diligence fees. Completing due diligence does not guarantee financing.
The written terms of your specific engagement should answer your questions before you commit.

My commitment to readers
I understand why someone encountering an accusation would hesitate. Your money, business and reputation matter, too.
I am asking for a fair examination of the evidence. Read the original sources. Ask difficult questions. Review the written terms. Verify the people involved.
If you have experienced threats to publish damaging material unless you pay, preserve the messages, dates, payment requests and published pages. A clear record makes it possible to examine what happened.
I have spent years building professional relationships. Publishing this response is part of protecting those relationships through openness and accountability.
If something you have read about me concerns you, bring me the specific question. I welcome the opportunity to answer it.
