The Real Reason Deals Stall

The Real Reason Buyers Stop Before They Start

You want to own a business. You assumed the only way in was your own money. That assumption stops more acquisitions than bad deals do. Here is where it comes from:

The savings trap
"I do not have millions sitting in the bank." Most buyers assume the full purchase price must come from personal savings. That single assumption ends the conversation before any company is ever looked at.
The personal-risk problem
Committing your own capital to an acquisition ties your personal financial position directly to the performance of the business. Experienced buyers structure around this for a reason.
The missing map
Revenue-based financing. A bridge loan. An insurance wrap. Senior investor capital. These instruments exist and they connect in sequence. Most first-time buyers have never been shown the order or how each step enables the next.
The building-feels-safer trap
Starting a company from zero feels more controlled. It also takes longer, costs more, and begins with no customers, no revenue, and no banking history: the same history that may be the foundation of an acquisition capital file.

Most people who think about buying a business decide against it before they have reviewed a single company. They conclude they cannot fund it. That conclusion is almost always premature, and it is easy to reach if no one has shown you that the target company's own financial history may be the starting point for the capital structure, not something that comes later.

The map matters more than the cheque. Once you understand the sequence, the question stops being "do I have enough money?" and starts being "does this company qualify?"
Built For A Specific Operator

Who this is for

Prospective Business Buyers

You have considered owning an established business but assumed it required capital you do not currently have. You want to understand how the capital structure actually works, before you commit to anything or start looking at specific companies.

Operators and Professionals Ready to Own

You have skills, income, and the discipline to run something. You are looking at companies that already have customers, revenue, employees, and systems in place. You want to know whether outside capital can carry part of the purchase, and what the file looks like to make that happen.

Anyone at the Start of the Research Phase

You have not selected a business yet. You want to understand the process, the qualifying criteria, and what the capital sequence looks like before you begin searching. This session gives you the complete map before the first step.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2245 minutesLive + Q&A

What you will walk away with

Why an established business may be more capital-efficient to acquire than to build from zero, and what the numbers look like side by side.
Why putting your own savings in first may be the most expensive decision in the entire transaction.
The four-step capital sequence in full: how company paper, a revenue-based bridge, an insurance wrap, and senior investor capital connect, in order.
What a revenue lender actually reads when they review a file, and the four things that kill an application before underwriting begins.
The characteristics that may make a company suitable for this structure, and the ones that disqualify it immediately.
A clear picture of what the next step looks like, so you can leave with a direction rather than a list of follow-up questions.

This is an educational session. It is not a financing approval, a lending commitment, or a guarantee that any business or buyer will qualify for the structure described. Each lender, insurer, and investor makes its own independent underwriting decision. No part of the process is automatic.
